Micro Froggit is a secret enemy first found within the dark cave in Dark Ruins. It appears near every golden item, such as Golden Pear, Golden Coffee, Golden Cactus and Golden Bandana, as well as in the Wild East Saloon.

Profile[edit | edit source]

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Micro Froggit is, as the name suggests, a microscopically small version of a Froggit, hence the sprite in the game being just a small square made up of one white pixel. Its croaks are very short and usually high-pitched.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Despite its extraordinarily small size, low stats and high risks of being stomped, Micro Froggit is a cheerful monster. However, it takes offense when a bigger being waves at it while looking at the wrong direction. The Micro Froggit community in the Underground seems to be closely-knit, as shown during their bar fight at the Wild East, where they quickly make amends to each other.

Main Story[edit | edit source]

Neutral/Pacifist Route[edit | edit source]

Dark Ruins[edit | edit source]

Throughout the Dark Ruins, there are many cracks in the walls in the shape of numbers 1 through 5, starting from Dalv's house all the way to the beginning of the Dark Ruins in ascending order (1 to 5). A croak sound is heard when interacting with a crack in the correct order, each one higher pitched than the other. Though no flavor text is displayed from them when interacting, if Clover interacts with all 5 in ascending order, the narration states that "an intimidating presence fills the Ruins" and the path previously blocked by large piles of dirt and rocks in the dark cave room is now clear, opening the entrance to the secret room.

When entering the secret room, a Micro Froggit ambushes Clover. If it is spared, another Micro Froggit encounters the first and the two interact before bidding Clover goodbye. Within that room, there is a Golden Pear and a dust bunny NPC hiding from Dalv.

Snowdin[edit | edit source]

In Snowdin, a group of Micro Froggits can be found behind the Honeydew Resort, in the same room as the Golden Coffee. They have their own hot spring similar to the one to the northwest of the Honeydew Resort which they appear to enjoy. After interacting enough times with them, the narration states that they would like some privacy.

Dunes[edit | edit source]

Near the start of the Dunes, the TNT Man can be found trying to blow open an entrance to a treasure cave. After coming back to that place after exiting the East Mines, the entrance is blown open and the TNT Man can be found in the cave around a group of Micro Froggits. He seems to be pleased with this outcome, and tells Clover to take any treasure from the cave. In the back of the cave, a Golden Cactus can be found. When interacted with, the Micro Froggits make randomly-pitched croaks.

At the Wild East Saloon, after Clover first enters town and before their first mission with Starlo, a posse of Micro Froggits appears below the Saloon's balcony. When interacted with, they start arguing over the political strife of the Underground, which soon turns into a fight. However, the head of the party calms them down, reminding them of their strong brotherhood, and the rest of the Micro Froggits hug it out.

Steamworks[edit | edit source]

After reaching the secret room of the Steamworks and placing each of the golden items at the remaining three pedestals, a Micro Froggit exits out of the big door in the room and starts a battle. Whatever action Clover performs, a louder croak can be heard from the background, the Micro Froggit retreats, and the Macro Froggit enters the battle.

Genocide Route[edit | edit source]

On a Genocide Route, after the kill count in Snowdin and the Dunes has been exhausted, no Micro Froggits appear at the hot spring and the treasure cave respectively. The Wild East Saloon is empty (apart from Dina) and the Macro Froggit battle in the Steamworks does not take place.

In Battle[edit | edit source]

Attacks[edit | edit source]

  • Fly: A comically oversized fly appears in the middle of the Bullet Board and chases Clover's SOUL through the Bullet Board, similarly to one of Sweet Corn's attacks.
  • Barrage: Several Micro Froggits jump at the SOUL from the bottom two corners of the Bullet Board.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • Micro Froggit can be spared by complimenting twice.
  • Micro Froggit can be killed with a near perfect bulls-eye shot. It can also be killed by ACTing with Stomp.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Micro-Froggit is a reference to the ant-sized Froggit found in the room with the three Froggits in Undertale's Ruins.
  • Their attacks directly parody Froggit's attacks from Undertale. Instead of small flies, Micro Froggit uses one big fly and instead of one big frog they use multiple tiny frogs.
  • Micro-Froggit uses a special spare animation where the battle box turns yellow that is usually only used for bosses and minibosses, however, this action cannot abort a Genocide Route.
  • Micro-Froggit is the only enemy that can be killed outside the usage of the FIGHT option, as well as the only enemy who can be killed through ACT, which is by choosing Stomp.
