Wild East
- For the track playing outdoors, see The Wild East.
The Wild East is the town at the east end of the Dunes. The town is very reminiscent of the Wild West, given that the sheriff governing this town, North Star, has found human movies that take place in that period. He and the rest of the Feisty Five run the town with the aim of entertaining the residents.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Outside[edit | edit source]
The central area of the Wild East consists of a SAVE point and a bell. When Flowey appears from this SAVE point, he wears a cowboy hat. To the east of the bell, on the wall of the Horse Stable, there is a board with various news regarding the Wild East. On this board, among other things, the Everyman Wanted Poster can be found when the Fun Value is 63 or 64, as well as a page of sheet music of the Justice leitmotif, albeit slightly modified. The exit to the south is blocked on the Pacifist and Neutral Routes until after the Feisty Four fight. This area connects to the Saloon, the Horse Stable, the Hospital, the Jail and the Feisty Five's house.
The east room of the Wild East's outside area contains a shooting range and Blackjack's shop. A gate with a giant lock blocks the north exit until after the Feisty Four fight. On the Genocide Route, it is always unlocked. On the far right path, a broken necklace can be found which Clover can sell to Blackjack for 100G.
Saloon[edit | edit source]
The Saloon is one of the main locations inside of the Wild East, it contains a shop run by Dina.
Hospital[edit | edit source]
The player can get boosted by the doctor here, giving them 15 HP over their maximum.
Feisty Five House/Hideout[edit | edit source]
After Clover's second mission, the Feisty Four take a nap break here, which Clover can join by interacting with the couch. Ceroba can be found next to the tapes after Clover's third mission.
Jail[edit | edit source]
The Jail contains two cells. When Clover first enters the Wild East, Vengeful Virgil is kept in the left cell and Martlet is kept in the right. Virgil escapes sometime during Clover's first mission. Moray can be seen visiting Martlet's cell after Clover's second mission. After Martlet is broken out of jail by Ceroba, Kangarufus can be found in Martlet's former cell, while the left cell remains empty for the rest of the game.
Horse Stable[edit | edit source]
The Horse Stable is a building in which a game of Six-Shooter, a game of cards run by Card Guy, can be played for 3G, with a chance of profit.
Despite there being spaces for 7 horses, it only contains one horse, who is actually just a monster with a horse mask.
Blackjack's[edit | edit source]

"Greetings!"
"Take a gander! Just don't touch anything."
Blackjack's is one of the shops in the Wild East alongside the saloon, it is also the only shop in the entire game in which you can sell items. It presents a variety of different weapons in its background, minerals can also be seen in a barrel and a grinder, presumably originating from the East Mines. Presumably, the bullets craft by Blackjack are made from the yellow glowing orbs, as some bullets are spread near the grinder.
Items[edit | edit source]
"Interested in anything?"
- 40G - Gunpowder "Heals: ???" "It may be edible."
- 80G - Silver Ammo "Ammo: 3AT" "Finely Crafted!"
- 50G - Fancy Holster "Acce: 8DF" "Made from leather!"
- 200G - Wild Revolver "You're too young."
The Wild Revolver can’t be bought normally, since Clover is too young. In the Pacifist and Neutral routes, Starlo will try to buy one for Clover, but Blackjack completely negates when he hears it's for a child. Starlo finally buys it for 400G and gives it to Clover. In the Genocide route, Clover can find it on the ground near the entrance to the Wild East.
Sell[edit | edit source]
Item sell price defaults to 15G for most items, with the exception of[1]:
- Adult Soda, Root Beer - 25G
- Golden Coffee, Golden Pear, Golden Cactus - 50G (does not apply to Golden Bandana which still sells for 15G)
- Delta Rune Patch, Necklace - 100G
Blackjack's talk dialogue options do not change until after Starlo's tests.
Main Story[edit | edit source]
Pacifist Route[edit | edit source]
Starlo's tests[edit | edit source]
During the Pacifist Route, Starlo puts Clover through a set of tests, which after completing, give slight variation to the town, changing NPCs and their dialogues in the saloon, hospital and jail.
Test 1: Dress To Impress?[edit | edit source]
The mission begins with the Feisty Five and Clover meeting in the center of town, in front of the bell. Starlo prepares to begin Clover's first mission, a duel, but Ace interrupts to point out the poor quality of Clover's hat and gun. Agreeing with his sentiment, Starlo postpones the duel and takes Clover to Blackjack's to obtain new wares instead.
After gifting Clover the Wild Revolver, Starlo takes them to the range to practice their shooting. They enter a battle with a training dummy, which ends after they shoot the dummy three times.
Starlo then tells Clover they have passed this part of their training and takes them to the Saloon to inform Ceroba of their success. He leaves them with her and she leads a brief conversation with them until he returns with the Nice Hat, another gift for Clover.
Test 2: Dangerous Duel[edit | edit source]
Clover's second mission is the duel which Starlo postponed in the previous mission. Before the mission, Starlo expresses annoyance at the Feisty Four for interrupting him so often. However, he does apologize for forgetting safety glasses after Ace reminds him.
In the duel, Clover must wait for the "draw" sound and then shoot Starlo using the provided BB gun. When he is hit, Starlo pretends to be fatally injured, before informing Clover this was their "emotional trauma test," aiming to prepare them for the repercussions of hurting someone in their job.
Test 3: ????????[edit | edit source]
Unlike previous missions, the Feisty Four do not meet Starlo and Clover in the center of town at the beginning. Ceroba approaches Starlo to ask about what is happening on the west end of town, which he immediately suspects as an attack from Vengeful Virgil. The three head to the scene, where the Feisty Four and a few other dunes residents are found tied to train tracks, with Ed on the left track and everybody else on the right track.
The mission requires Clover to choose who gets hit by the "train," in a scenario similar to the trolley problem. Regardless of which option Clover chooses, Starlo declares they have passed the mission by demonstrating their judgement.
Genocide Route[edit | edit source]
During the events of the Genocide Route, the Wild East is found, apart from Starlo, Ceroba and Dina, empty. In this route, Starlo challenges Clover to a duel.
During the duel, the Draw! prompt appears before the 10 paces are done, allowing Clover to betray the rules of the duel and kill Starlo before he has a chance to fight back. If the player does nothing, Starlo shoots a rubber pellet that bounces off of Clover. Starlo laments his inability to act, and thanks Clover for allowing him to look cool, before Clover shoots him anyway.
In both instances, Starlo has no actual combat fight, since he dies during the duel. Ceroba arrives after he is shot and acts as the boss of the Wild East in this route.
After defeating Ceroba, Dina can be found in the Saloon. She expresses fury towards Clover, but the two do not fight.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- A fourth mission was planned for the Wild East where Virgil would tie up townsfolk and Clover would have to sneak around and free them. This was cut because it would make the Wild East segment too long.[2]
