UG Apartments
- For the track, see UG Apartments (Soundtrack).
UG Apartments is an earlier iteration of the MTT Resort from Undertale. It contains the final shop in the game, Bits & Bites. It has the final SAVE point on a Neutral and Genocide Route and the second to last SAVE point on a Pacifist Route.
Features[edit | edit source]
- The final SAVE point in the game on several routes.
- Bits & Bites, the last vendor in the game.
Map[edit | edit source]
Main Story[edit | edit source]
Neutral Route[edit | edit source]
Entering UG Apartments on the Neutral Route is both optional and unnecessary. While Clover can purchase items and save here, entering Flowey's fight replaces the prior save, prevents use of consumables, and does not take Clover's defensive equipment into account.
The elevator to New Home inside the complex is in use and cannot be ridden.
Pacifist Route[edit | edit source]
UG Apartments on the Pacifist Route is almost identical to the Neutral Route.
Entering UG Apartments is required on the Pacifist Route. Martlet will become Clover's follower, after which the elevator to New Home inside becomes free. She stops Clover from interacting with any monsters when she is accompanying.
Some time after Clover's SOUL is collected, Mettaton takes over the complex and converts it to the MTT Resort.
Genocide Route[edit | edit source]

The resort is completely abandoned on a Genocide Route. The background music is replaced with electricity humming. Clover refuses to take the elevator to New Home.
After defeating Zenith Martlet, there is no more power in the complex; the lights are off and no electricity can be heard. Clover must now take the elevator to proceed.
Geography[edit | edit source]
UG Apartments has four accessible rooms. The layout is similar to its Undertale counterpart, but the decorations and NPCs are different.
Clover enters into the lobby. A fountain stands in the center of the room. It is topped by the music box statue from Undertale, said to have been moved to Waterfall one week before Undertale begins.[1] A faint melody can be heard from inside it. There are two building exits in the back of the lobby. The first is entrance to the CORE, which is roped off. The second is an elevator leading to New Home. Clover can only take it after killing Martlet on a Genocide Route or when she is a follower on a Pacifist Route.
The dining room to the west of the lobby is very similar to its appearance in Undertale. In this room, Rodney's Band is playing the background music on a Neutral and Pacifist Route and various NPCs are spread around.
The hallway to the east of the lobby contains doors to several apartments, as well as a stairwell. The stairs are closed off and all of the rooms are locked.
A door in the back, where the MTT-Brand Burger Emporium is in Undertale, is the entrance to Bits & Bites.
Bits & Bites[edit | edit source]
Bits & Bites is a shop run by two monsters, Bits and Buttons. The shop sells the following items:
- Monster Candy+ for 26G
- C-B Strudel for 34G
- Floral Cupcake for 50G
- Delta Rune Patch for 100G
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The main room in UG Apartments has genocide data assigned to it despite no monsters being encountered there.
- Despite Undertale Yellow suggesting the Waterfall statue was placed in Waterfall shortly before Undertale began, Undyne's dialogue in Undertale suggests it has been there far longer.[2]
- Several of the potted plants in the dining room have unique interactions.
- The flavor text of the leftmost bush in the group of three bushes is "(A planted pot.)"
- When interacted with, the plant in the southwest corner plays a knocking sound and then displays the flavor text "(...What?)"
- The tree-like plant in the northwest corner gives the flavor text "You hear sounds coming from the plant." This is a reference to the trumpeting plants found in the Steamworks botany hall.[3]
