East Mines
The East Mines, also called the Mining Co. Mines, is a mine in the Dunes owned by Mining Co.
The purpose of the mines is to extract minerals that are used for building materials. It is also to ensure monsters can find a job, as Mining Co. will hire any adult who applies and never fires anyone. The Mines contain many gemstones, mostly Swelterstones. They process and sell the gemstones, but the gemstones are not worth much so it is not their main purpose.

Entrance[edit | edit source]
The exterior of the East Mines has a black rock that Clover can take Flint from. The way forward is blocked, forcing Clover to pass through the East Mines to progress.
Floor 1[edit | edit source]
The first room contains a Dimensional Box and the Steel Buckle. Entering and turning right reveals the way to progress is an elevator, which is stuck by a piece of wood. There are four ways to get the wood out:
- In the leftmost room, buy a Pickaxe for 30G from the Green Slime Monster;
- In the leftmost room, talk to the Quiz Monster and complete a monster trivia quiz to get a Pickaxe;
- Select the Steel Buckle or Flint with both items in Clover's inventory; or
- Use the Matches.
Whatever is used to destroy the wood is also destroyed.
Floor 2[edit | edit source]
Ascending the elevator leads to a hallway with a scripted Bowll encounter. The room after this contains a minecart puzzle. There are three minecarts, one marked with a yellow X, one with a green triangle, and one with a blue circle. Clover must interact with certain tracks to rotate them and then send each minecart to its destination to proceed.
In the next room, Bryan is lamenting his lack of hardhat. There is a hardhat in this room that Clover can push to him if desired. If they do so, they receive his eternal gratitude.
The door leads to a cliff outside the mines. Boulders are falling down from above; being hit by one takes Clover into a mini-battle where they have to dodge boulder bullets. Dodging the boulders and proceeding to the next room leads back inside to the lobby.
Lobby[edit | edit source]
The lobby contains a desk where Angie and Gilbert are working along with several of their employees. If Clover talks to the NPCs in the area, they provide some information on Mining Co. and the East Mines.
The next room contains an empty minecart, which Clover rides across a large gap lit only by Swelterstones. The path leads to another minecart puzzle, a room with Fruitcake, and, finally, the exit, which leads up to the top of the cliff.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The boulders falling down between floor 2 and the lobby come from Rock-Dropper 900s at the top of the cliff. They are owned by North Star, who uses them for Feisty Five missions but forgot to turn them off.
