Insomnitot is a monster encountered in Snowdin, where it appears as a scripted encounter before exiting the Ruined Shack room to the north. It was first revealed in February 2018, in the game's Snowdin trailer.

Profile

Appearance

Insomnitot is a round and short monster with antennae, bags under its eyes and a tired look. It wears a sleeping cap with a pattern which can only be seen on its overworld sprite.

Personality

Insomnitot appears to be a young and rebellious monster who is constantly tired. It refuses to sleep as a form of rebellion, and believes that sleep is for the weak. For this reason, it is easily lulled to sleep.

Main Story

Insomnitot's scripted encounter is in the Snowdin room with the ruined shack, when attempting to exit to the north.

Pacifist Route

On a Pacifist Route, Insomnitot can be found in the room with three signs after Martlet's battle. Upon interaction, Clover wakes it up from its dream about clementine pudding, and it starts panicking about being late for school. Interacting further makes it fall asleep again, repeating the interaction cycle.

• Stars: A flurry of small stars quickly zooms past the bullet box. There are several present at once. They also use a sound effect from Undertale.
• ZZZ: Multiple towers of three Zs zig-zag to the top of the top of the bullet box.
• Sheep: The bullet box shrinks dramatically as sheep appear on the bottom. A fence slowly moves in the other direction for the sheep to jump over.

Strategy

Insomnitot can be spared by using the Hypnotize ACT, then the Sing ACT, which makes it fall asleep and not attack further.
