Sir Slither

Sir Slither is a monster encountered in the Dunes. His scripted encounter is right before the falling tumbleweeds.

Profile[edit | edit source]

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Sir Slither is a monster resembling a red snake with a yellow underbelly and a brown hood. He sits in a purple vase with yellow handles and a stripe pattern.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Sir Slither's personality is that of a scammer in financial trouble. He attempts to gain Clover's trust, and calls his attacks his "greetings," presumably in an attempt to take their SOUL. When in battle with Cactony, his scamming focuses mostly on him, complimenting his bullet patterns and calling him a "perfect match," but acting unsurprised after his death. He is divorced (possibly multiple times) and paying alimony.

Main Story[edit | edit source]

He appears as a scripted encounter between the tree save point and falling tumbleweeds in the Dunes.

Pacifist Route[edit | edit source]

After the Starlo battle, but before the investigation in the Ketsukane Mansion with Martlet, Sir Slither can be found next to the fortune teller's house in the Oasis Valley. He expresses his wish to be Clover's companion once again, and suggests Clover writes a book about their grand journey, for which he would be an editor.

In Battle[edit | edit source]

Appears With[edit | edit source]

  • Cactony

Attacks[edit | edit source]

  • Pottery: A warning appears as pottery forms in the middle of the Bullet Board. Several bullets fly out of the pot before two snakes rise up and shape the pot fully.
  • Snake: Snakes slither vertically or horizontally through the Bullet Board.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

Sir Slither can be spared by using the Doubt ACT twice. Choosing the Believe ACT makes a thick fog emerge and partially obscure the screen for one turn.

The Pottery attack can be avoided entirely by standing in an upper corner of the Bullet Board. The Snake attack has four safe zones where the SOUL cannot be hit; they are in the upper or lower third and left or right third of the box.

  • While most of Sir Slither's flavor text uses he/him pronouns, the line "Sir Slither pivots their full attention to you." uses they/them.
