The Shufflers are a group of minor characters who are encountered in Snowdin.

Main Story

The Shufflers block the path to the Honeydew Resort. In order to get past them, Clover is told to participate in a mini-game where one of them hides a ball and they shuffle around. Clover has to correctly guess which Shuffler is hiding the ball three times in a row to be able to move on. The gang also lets Clover pass if they fail the game six times.

Rephil can later be found at the Saloon in the Wild East, looking for Mo to settle their ongoing feud. Swig and Toast stay behind in Snowdin, where Clover can meet them again should they backtrack with the UGPS. There, Swig and Toast have altered dialogue explaining the situation with Rephil and Mo.

If Clover purchases all nine of Mo's items throughout the game, he is able to get out of his debt with the Shufflers, and a scene in the True Pacifist end credits shows the Shufflers working for him instead.

Trivia

• Each of the three are named after cup-related terms:
  • Rephil is a combination of "refill" and the given name "Phil."
  • Swig is a verb for taking a drink from a glass.
  • Toast is the action of clinking two glasses together.
• If the game's fun value is set to 1, Swig is instead named Dave.
• If Clover bypasses the Shufflers by repeatedly losing their game, Toast's dialogue afterwards does not change to reflect this, still saying that Clover is the only individual to beat them.
• If the fake Rephil battle is loaded without being in the Shufflers cutscene, Occupied Turf starts playing over the background music, and persists until you end the next battle. This can even overlap over encounter and boss music.
