UG Apartments NPCs

Lobby Lad[edit | edit source]
The Lobby Lad[1] is a lanky humanoid NPC that speaks through a large popsicle-like head they are holding on a stick. They tell Clover about the UGPS's upcoming business model of delivering letters directly to citizens' mailboxes rather than a central mail station, and wonder if they could get a job with the postal service despite not being able to fly. They are optimistic about the Underground's future and believe that more can be done in terms of technical advancement.
They were designed by Figburn.[2]
Handlord[edit | edit source]
This is a monster with a large hand for a head who is the "handlord" (landlord) of UG Apartments, and seemingly the same NPC as the Hand Receptionist in Undertale's MTT Resort, though they appear here with yellow nail polish rather than red. After Clover interacts with them and tries to walk away, they tell Clover about Martlet requesting to meet on the apartments' roof. If Martlet is present when interacting with the Handlord, they will have new dialogue conversing with her.
They have apparently been kicking out anyone who calls the apartment complex "quite simple", a reference to a popular meme.
Mr. Cursor[edit | edit source]
Mr. Cursor is a humanoid in a hoodie and baggy jeans with a mouse cursor for a head. They rant about their day, having had their name misunderstood by a receptionist, and waiting for the elevator to New Home to open for three hours before their cursor head turns to a loading symbol for a moment. They calm down after this, though they briefly consider trying to ram into the elevator.
Hallway[edit | edit source]
Janitor[edit | edit source]
The same janitor slime monster as in Undertale's MTT Resort is standing in the residence hallway. Here, they are much less distressed than their appearance in Undertale, standing on break and admiring a hard day's work.
Restaurant[edit | edit source]
Fish Receptionist[edit | edit source]
The same Fish Receptionist from Undertale's MTT Resort is behind the reception desk to the restaurant. They claim that the dining room is full of ghosts and as such they cannot offer Clover reservation. They believe it will take a few days for the ghosts to leave because the cooks do not know how to make ghost food.
Cold Man[edit | edit source]
The Cold Man[3] is on their own at a dining table, worrying that their date stood them up even though the Cold Man showed up a day early.
Food Enjoyer[edit | edit source]
The Food Enjoyer[4] praises the UG Apartments restaurant as the best restaurant in the Underground. They are confused about where the kitchen of the complex is and say they prefer the music they used to play at the complex when they were young.
Spider Girl[edit | edit source]
The Spider Girl[5] is a anthropomorphic spider girl in a raincoat holding an umbrella. They tell a story from their grandmother about rain in the Underground being a manifestation of all the sorrow of the monsters, sourced from the wishes of monsters wishing in Waterfall. They complain about the roadblocks on the path from Hotland to Waterfall and encourages Clover not to hold onto their sorrow.
