GOLD (abbreviated in-game as G) is the main currency used in the Underground. The primary way of obtaining GOLD is through encounters, where it functions the same way as in Undertale.
Sources[edit | edit source]
Apart from winning encounters, GOLD may be obtained through the following means:
- Selling items to Blackjack, to whom most items can be exchanged for 15G.
- The Golden Cactus, Golden Coffee and Golden Pear can be sold for 50G, and the Delta Rune Patch and Necklace can be sold for 100G.
- Stealing GOLD from shops on a Genocide Route.
- If Clover encounters Mo in the Steamworks, they will hold him at gunpoint and can choose to rob him of 450G.
- Blackjack has no money to steal and Vendy cannot be stolen from.
- Winning Six-Shooter, the amount of G granted depending on the time.
- Talking to Kangarufus during the second Wild East break, who gives Clover 20G on their first interaction and 5G on their second.
- Taking GOLD from various overworld objects.
- A pair of green pants in Oasis Valley has 30G.
- Clover can steal 50G from the Dunes wishing well if they are alone and did not provide Martlet with a coin to put in.
- A trash can in the Steamworks lake has 60G.
- A GOLD-making machine in the Factory has 60G.
Usage[edit | edit source]
Apart from purchasing items, GOLD may be spent in the following transactions:
- The Mew Mew Love Blaster! arcade game, located in Café Dune, costs 3G to play. This price is only charged when starting the game; losing and trying again does not cost additional G.
- The Fortune Teller in Oasis Valley can tell up to four "tiny fortunes" to Clover, for 5G each.
- The Doctor, located in the Wild East's Clinic, may offer to raise Clover's HP above maximum for 30G.
- Starting a game of Six-Shooter, in the Wild East's Stable, costs 3G.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- When talking to Mooch for the first time after arriving in the Wild East, Clover loses 1G, presumably because Mooch stole it.
- When interacting with the wishing well with Martlet, she will ask for 1G to throw in the well. If Clover agrees, she wishes for them to make it home safe. However, this does not actually remove any GOLD from Clover, and this interaction is possible even if they have no GOLD.
- While the Dunes wishing well says it provides 5G if stolen from, it actually increases Clover's GOLD by 50.
